Newcastle officially became a city in 1994. The city limits cover 4.5 miles and has a population of 7,737 people. The community has two school districts, Renton school district and Issaquah school district. It shares a post office headquarters with the Renton Highlands. Newcastle is a great example of a strong little city that works together with its neighbors to provide the top services for its residents.
Newcastle has become a popular city because it is situated near the I-405 corridor and is nestled perfectly between Renton and Bellevue. Its location is the best of both worlds for those wanting access to the Eastside and the Southend, and easy access to Seattle via I-90 bridge.
